Nursing School Acceptance
I'm very excited that I will begin the Cuesta College RN program in August. I am apprehensive, as well, because as an adult with a real life (family, mortgage, bills) I am going to work while I'm attending the program. People have completely freaked out when I say that but that's how it has to be done. I have to bite my tongue most of the time and not remind them that I worked full time while pregnant, moved into our home and started grad school during my third trimester (which due to completely ridiculous laws in California meant I had to break my work hours into 'no less than 3- and no more than 5-hour increments.' Thanks...that meant I had to get there by 5:30 AM on the days I had a 9 AM class at Poly--just so I can get 3 hours in at work, go to school until 3 PM, come BACK to work and stay until 8:30 PM!) But: it's made me stronger, and prepared me for what I'm about to do for the next 2 years. I'm fortunate to have a job and a boss that allow me to flex schedule like that! I'm also VERY blessed to have a husband that absolutely helps with our son the way he does! THANKS, CHRIS! Love you, and I'm so excited about this new adventure.
